In November 2012, when more than 100 garment workers in Bangladesh died in a raging factory fire, it raised pressing questions about corporate responsibility for the conditions of the factories that make their products.

Next week on Friday, March 8, 2013 the University of Washington will address these important questions as it hosts a day-long conference entitled The Transformation of Supply Chains.

Bringing together activists and scholars from around the world, the event will discuss how products are sourced in today’s global economy, and the consequences for workers’ rights.

Friday, March 8 10:00am – 4:00pm
Parrington Hall, Forum (Room 309) University of Washington, Seattle campus
